Finding the Gaps AI Leaves Behind

December 22, 2025

As another year comes to an end, I find myself reflecting on the direction I want to take in the year ahead. With advances in AI increasingly impacting writing services, I’m learning how to adapt my skills, not by competing with these tools, but by enhancing what they can’t replace.

AI tools are excellent at producing content quickly, but they don’t experience it the way a human does. They don’t feel confusion when instructions don’t align, frustration when something doesn’t flow, or hesitation when something feels unclear or off-brand. That’s where the gaps often appear, and where attention to detail still matters – not just in how content is created, but in how it’s experienced, and how it works for the person using it.

Attention to detail has always been a strength of mine. I often notice things others don’t. While I once wondered if I was too focused on making things look and feel ‘right’, I’ve come to realise that this trait is exactly what allows me to add value. By harnessing it, I can help address the small but important details that shape a user’s experience.

Have you ever visited a website that didn’t feel user-friendly, but you couldn’t quite explain why?

Often, it’s not just about how something looks, it’s about how it reads, how it flows, and how it functions.

Have you read a document or book filled with typos, spelling errors, or awkwardly structured sentences? It’s frustrating for the reader and can leave a poor impression of the business or brand behind it.

Or what about instructions on a webpage that don’t match the actual steps you need to take to purchase a product? How often do people abandon the process in frustration, and how many potential sales are lost as a result?

If you’d like honest, human-centred feedback on the written or visual content representing your business, I’d love to help. Together, we can ensure your first impressions are clear, professional, and working in your favour, because attention to detail still matters.
